In the years 1494-1498 Leonardo da Vinci created his famous "Last Supper", in which Jesus announces that he will be betrayed by one of his disciples.

From the Sforza Castle to the Arch of Peace and from the Triennale Exhibition and Torre Branca to the Arena Civica extends the Parco Sempione.

In the Middle Ages in Via Mercanti lawyers offered on the street their services for few money, surrounded by craftsmen, shoemakers, seamstresses, weavers, tailors and bakers, that populated Piazza dei Mercanti.

Built in the year 1778, today it is one of the most famous opera houses in the world. The façade and the splendid theatre-room are constructed in a new-classical style by the architect Giuseppe Piermarini.
