Opening hours in Milan
The normal opening hours in Milan (without guarantee):
- On Mondays 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday morning most of the shops are closed
- Tuesday to Saturday: 09:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Some shops make a lunch time from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- On Sundays the shops are normally closed.
- Some shops in the Milan city centre are longer open and partly also on Sundays.
- During the month of December most of the shops are open on Sunday.
- In August many shops are closed for vacation.

The most important holidays on which all shops are closed are 1 January (New Year’s day), Easter Monday, 15 August (Ferragosto) and 25 December (Christmas Day).

Sale Periods in Milan
In Milan there are 2 sales periods for bargain hunters every year :
- The Winter Sales start at the first Saturday in January after the Holiday Period until mid February.
- The Summer Sales start at the first Saturday in July until August.
The dates apply only to Milan and province. Each region specifies the conclusion sales themselves.
- In December most shops are also open on Sundays .
- August is the most unfavourable month for a Shopping trip, because many shops are closed for vacations.
